Living with Bladder Leaks Isn’t Just Inconvenient

Urinary incontinence, pelvic pain, and pelvic floor dysfunction affect millions of women — yet most suffer in silence, assuming it’s just a normal part of life after pregnancy, aging, or menopause. It doesn’t have to be.

The Embarrassment Is Real

Leaking when you laugh, sneeze, or run isn’t something you should simply accept. It holds you back from workouts, social events, and the moments that matter.

Generic Care Isn’t Enough

At large clinics, you’re often one of several patients your therapist sees simultaneously. Cookie-cutter exercises miss the root cause — and the problem keeps coming back.

Waiting Only Makes It Worse

Pelvic floor dysfunction rarely resolves on its own. Untreated incontinence can worsen over time, impacting your posture, relationships, and overall quality of life.

“Jennifer is one of the best physical therapists I have seen. She is professional, really connects 1:1 with her clients to understand the pain points and learning about their personal journey before recommending a therapy. The 1:1 approach with patients combining therapy with exercise you can do on your own is a perfect combination you won’t get from big clinics where 1PT is attending to 4 patients at the same time.”

I’m so happy to have found Bloom Pelvic Health & Wellness, and highly recommend! I’ve seen Dr. Jennifer and Dr. Kinjal most recently, for diastasis recti and lower back pain. They know their stuff! Dr. Kinjal is compassionate and professional, she quickly put me at ease, creatively and patiently getting to work on the source of my discomfort. After only 6 weeks I’m feeling physically stronger, more knowledgeable, and very positive about conquering this issue.

Your Pelvic Health Questions, Answered

Everything you need to know before your first appointment at our Chelmsford, MA clinic.

Do I need a doctor's referral to see a pelvic floor physical therapist at Bloom?

No — Massachusetts allows direct access to physical therapy, so you can book an appointment without a physician referral.

What happens at my first visit?

Your initial evaluation is a full 60-minute one-on-one session with a Doctor of Physical Therapy. We’ll take a thorough history, discuss your goals, and conduct a comprehensive pelvic floor assessment to build your personalized treatment plan.

Does Bloom accept insurance?

Bloom operates on an out-of-network model. We provide superbills after each visit that you can submit directly to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement. We recommend contacting your insurer beforehand to understand your out-of-network benefits.

Is telehealth available?

Yes — we offer virtual pelvic floor PT sessions covering education, guided exercises, and coaching for bladder leakage, pelvic pain, constipation, and prenatal/postpartum concerns. Telehealth is a great option for busy schedules or those outside the Chelmsford area.

Who is pelvic floor physical therapy for?

Pelvic floor PT is for anyone experiencing urinary incontinence, pelvic pain, prolapse, painful intercourse, diastasis recti, or pregnancy and postpartum discomfort. Bloom is a welcoming, LGBTQ+ and transgender-friendly practice.

How many sessions will I need?

Every patient’s plan is unique. Most clients see meaningful improvement within 6–10 sessions, though your therapist will outline a recommended timeline during your initial evaluation based on your specific condition and goals.
